Samsung is back with its Android-based camera.
The South Korean multinational electronics company launched Galaxy Camera 2 which costs US$449.99. Galaxy Camera 2 surprisingly surpassed the capabilities of the original Galaxy Camera.
Galaxy Camera 2 has improved specs, an updated Android operating system and a little modification on the design. Though it carries the same old issues as its predecessor, it is recommended for people who just want a dedicated camera that can run Android apps.

The new version of Galaxy Camera certainly embraced minimalism. It has an appealing design that's too familiar for users who takes pictures using smartphone and touch-screen is appealing.
Images from the Galaxy Camera 2 are not bad and not that great either. The shots are good and better than thhose taken with a normal smartphone camera. They put a few new processing tricks, nothing special about it. It has also the same lens and sensor which make shots look the same in the older version.
Zooming in and the trouble of taking photos in low light are just some of the problems of Galaxy Camera 2. It has a nice 21x optical zoom lens which is barely better than an average smartphone.
The shutter button and zoom toogle are not helpful when you snap a picture and only relies on the onscreen controls. Users can use new apps on the Android-based camera but it won't support the physical controls like the zoom lens.
Galaxy Camera 2 has also a feature of taking photos and passing them right to the smartphone. This is done through an option called MobileLink which automatically sends any of user's photos to the smartphone, without requiring Wi-Fi connection.
Users can also use the link to allow the phone function as remote viewfinder and controller for the camera and works well with framing group shots using the phone while the camera is on the other area.
Galaxy Camera 2 is considered as the most flexible camera given the price. It lets you take pictures easily and download a lot of apps. Plus, Angry Bird gaming is possible.
