Recently tweeted specifications of the still hush-hush LG D653 smartphone show Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system.
Microsoft in late February said LG was one of its Windows Phone 8.1 OEMs. This unverified LG smartphone has made an appearance on the database of AdDuplex, a cross-promotion network for Windows Phone apps and Windows 8.

Alan Mendelevich, founder of AdDuplex, tweeted the specs of the LG D653. He specified a 5-inch screen and the Windows Phone 8.1 OS for the new phone. No further details of the handset have been disclosed.
Microsoft said LG, the South Korean electronics company based in Seoul, will be one of its partner companies that will manufacture phones running Windows Phone 8.1, its newest mobile operating system.
The partnership has resulted in the development LG D635 that appeared on AdDuplex,
The LG D635 Mendelevich wrote about could be a prototype, and the specifications may change depending on its development.
LG, however, has not revealed any plans to create a phone running Windows Phone 8.1. People interested in the handset still need to wait for confirmation from either of the two companies.
In the same announcement in February, Microsoft included Nokia, Foxconn, HTC, Huawei, Lenovo, JST, ZTE, Samsung and India's Karbon and Xolo to its list of Windows phone partners.
LG has prior experience with Microsoft's operating system. In 2011,the Korean company's Optimus 7 ran on Windows Phone 7.
Windows Phone 8.1 has a few unique features. The keyboard learns a user's preferences, giving suggestions like names and addresses on top of the usual corrections to misspelled words.
Its virtual assistant, Cortana, is much like Google Now and Siri but has a few innovations of its own.
Cortana can track a user's calendar events and emails to tell the user of important alerts without being asked.
For example, if the user has a business trip is planned, Cortana will alert the user about traffic jams and flight delays before the flight.
