Kim Kardashian has made it very clear that she goes after what she wants including her husband, Kanye West.

The 37-year old rapper never shied away from saying that he's always had a thing for the most famous Kardashian way before they got together, but she recently revealed that it was actually her who pursued West after she called it quits with ex-husband, Kris Humphries.

Talking to Billy Bush of Access Hollywood, Kardashian said, "I was always attracted to him," and admitted that she definitely felt a spark between them when they first met, but kept their distance as they both were in a relationship at the time.

Though the pair "stayed in touch," Kardashian recalled that the timing was always a bit off. However, after about six months since she split from Humphries in 2012, she asked herself, "Why not?"

"Like, what am I waiting for?" she quipped.

The businesswoman admitted that she assumed West would get in touch with her as soon as he found out that she was single again, but after months of not hearing from him, she decided to take matters in her own hands and called him.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed that he told West on that phone call, "I thought you were at least going to call me and say 'I told you so' or something." 

After the initial contact, West, who had long been friends with her, then invited her to Paris to watch a fashion show, where according to Kardashian, is where "the magic happened."

She admitted that she initially had doubts about diving into another relationship but took a chance as she thought West is the person she had long been waiting for and it seems like she made the right choice.

They started dating in April of 2012 and 8 months later, they announced that Kardashian was pregnant with their first child, a daughter they named North West, now nearly 2 years old. West proposed to Kardashian on her 33^rd birthday and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy on May 24, 2014.
