Janice Dickinson, former judge in "America's Next Top Model", recently filed a case against actor Bill Cosby after the comedian publicly denied the allegation that he sexually assaulted her in 1982. According to Dickinson, Cosby basically called her a liar by denying his participation in the alleged act.

Dickinson's friends and fans will remember that the model is just one of more than 40 women who have stepped up to accuse the "Cosby Show" actor of sexual assault. Also, she is the second known individual to file a defamation suit against Cosby.
Reuters reported that attorney Lisa Bloom from the Los Angeles Superior Court is representing Dickinson in this case. Bloom alleged that Cosby intentionally inflicted emotional distress on her client. She went on further to say that the actor made a: "choice to vilify and publicly attack Ms. Dickinson."
When asked about the details of the case, Bloom reported this to Us Magazine: "We're asking for money damages to compensate her for the damage to her reputation and for the emotional distress, the very serious emotional distress that's been very real for Janice that she's been going through."
In the original complaint for sexual assault, Dickinson claims that Cosby drugged her before having his way with her. She told People Magazine that Cosby flew her on a private jet from a shoot she was doing in Bali, India, back to the actor's own home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. When she complained of menstrual cramps, Cosby allegedly gave her some red wine and a pill.
While she initially kept quiet about the alleged incident, Dickinson thought it her responsibility to support and protect the other women who have already come forward with their stories. She felt it an affront to the honor of women's rights if she kept quiet while many others like her have already stepped up to the plate and took their search for justice to the courtroom.
