Shakira and partner, Barcelona football star Gerard Pique, are expecting their second child.

Shakira and Pique have a one-year old son named Milan.

Carlos Vives, Shakira's friend and fellow singer, revealed in an award ceremony in Miami that the pop singer is indeed pregnant and "very happy".

Raul de Molina, co-host of the Univision show, "El Gordo y La Flaca", also confirmed that the singer is expecting a girl. He said that his sources are credible and that he had also revealed the news of Shakira's pregnancy before it was confirmed by the singer.

The 37-year old singer and 27-year old Pique have yet to confirm the news, but friends are saying that she is 3 months along and being very careful with her pregnancy.

Rumors of her second pregnancy were fueled further when she was very careful while performing her signature belly-dancing during her performance at the FIFA World Cup 2014 finals in Brazil. Witnesses say that they also spotted what seemed to be a baby bump during the said performance.

In an interview with "Latina" magazine for the April 2014 issue, Shakira shared, "If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already" and that given the chance, she wanted around eight or kids so that she and Pique could have their own "futbol team".

The singer shared that motherhood made her "feel at peace with the world," and has been her source of focus and inspiration when it came to making music. Before she became a mother, she said that when she made music, she "used to go in circles around an idea."

Shakira and Pique met while filming her World Cup 2010 music video "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" and have been dating ever since.

Recently, Shakira became the most famous celebrity on Facebook, garnering 100 million fans on her official Facebook page.
