Event designers added the Harley-Davidson Flat-Track oval that allows racers to build up to speed of 130 mph.
Bryan Smith, Michigan leading racer, would be racing for this track, AMA Pro Racing wrote.
Smith has won more than five races in 2014 and could've won more if he wasn't black flagged for a smoking bike and was later disqualified.
Big Air Doubles which pairs BMX and skate athletes on the Mega Ramp was added in the competition.
This new discipline would allow athletes to start at a drop of an 88 feet-high drop-in ramp that soars over a 50-feet gap.
Racers could expect logs, rocks, jumps and tight curves on the Enduro X track. Spectators could expect air tricks from Moto X Speed & Style racers.
Event designers created a BMX tracks into turns, like the Turn 1, which has a natural elevation drop of 133 feet.
This track would be the course of BMX riders and skateboarders. It has ample seating, suits and other built-in infrastructure.
There were additional viewing areas with supplement seats and there would be seats scattered across the venue.
For this year, one of the racers who would be competing came from Alpine who got back into motorcycle racing after an injury several years ago.
He is Nick Thompson and he got interested into BMX bicycles at an early age of seven then it transitioned into dirt motorcycles, KSL.com explained.
Thompson competed on local motocross races at 11 and was selected to compete on WORC'S Racing series at 17.
He had to stop racing because of an accident at the Rocky Mountain Raceways where he broke his leg.
During his comeback, he won the 2011 expert class championship in the Utah Sports Rider Association Desert Race Series. He then turned to Enducross racing in 2012, a high intensity dirt bike racing.
He received an invitation to compete at the X Games after finishing seventh at the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City.
