In what could be the most awaited update for Android users, Google has announced a new update to hit markets soon which will allow users to log in with their fingerprints.
Previously, android users had to type extensive passwords as an additional feature to enhance the security of their devices; however, this may no longer be applicable as Google is all set to update Android that will enable users to log into the system by simply using their fingerprints. This new update is expected to make the system more secure and minimize the threat of hackers.

Google has also given hints that it will be introducing this new feature at the I/O Developer conference scheduled to be held in San Francisco, sometime next week. This will also simplify the hassle for the users who currently have to remember the complicated passwords to access different applications.
Another report on Mashable indicates that the new fingerprint authentication app will be available in the rumoured Android M update. The current version is known as Lollipop. It is expected that naming the new update as Android M will mean Google has chosen to differ from its traditional method of naming the updates.
The only challenge is that users who want to avail the benefits of this new app will have to invest in a device that comes loaded with a finger print sensor. As of now, there are not many devices that come with a fingerprint sensing facility. But, with the growing popularity of this app, it is expected that smartphone makers will be compelled to introduce more options in this category and that too at an affordable price.
Once the fingerprint sensor sails through the initial hassles, it is expected that Samsung will soon use it to facilitate mobile payments just like Apple has. There are also rumurs that Google may launch an application programming interface (API) as a native support for the fingerprint-sensing feature.
Meanwhile, users across the globe will now eagerly look forward to the update that is expected to simplify the process to access.
