A short list on the female leads for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has been revealed, and Kate Upton comes up as the wild card among them all.
Sports Illustrated regular Kate Upton is being eyed for the role of Queenie, the supposed older sister of "Tina," which Geek Tyrant reported as the shorthand for Porpentina, which in the book is the wife of the protagonist, Newt Scamander.

However, Kate Upton is not the only actress up for the role. Elizabeth Debicki from "The Great Gatsby" fame and Katherine Waterston of "Inherent Vice" are also being eyed, so even with "The Other Woman" under her acting belt, there is still some pretty strict competition before she gets the role.
David Yates is slated to direct the "Harry Potter" spinoff, who has had experience with the magical land of J. K. Rowling after directing the last four "Harry Potter" movies. On the other hand, this will be the first time for J. K. Rowling to write for the big screen.
Slash Film listed Alison Sudol, Dakota Fanning, Lili Simmons, and Saoirse Ronan as top choices for Tina, although The Wrap reported that there is no word if these actresses are either available or are willing to pursue the magical spinoff. Screen testing will be the most plausible step, and Eddie Redmayne will presumably test alongside a number of these actresses.
Eddie Redmayne is known for his role as Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything" and consequentially winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for the said role. Kate Upton, however, still has a pretty slim acting resume, and as Slash Film reported, landing this role can prove to be pretty big for the supermodel. Details regarding the spinoff are kept under wraps, but what is known is that the timeline falls under 70 years before the adventures of The Boy Who Lived. Hopefully, Potterheads will get to relive the magic they had when the franchise first started.
