(Photo : YouTube) Dani Alves has stated his intention to leave FC Barcelona and transfer to the Premier League if a club meets his expectation.

FC Barcelona full-back Dani Alves was recently added to Manchester United's shortlist for possible transfer. Alves, whose contract with Barcelona is set to expire this summer, has already voiced out his concerns about his future with the Spanish club.

Alves' contract is expected to end along with the current season. However, due to a FIFA-imposed transfer embargo, Barcelona might be forced to offer Alves an extension to his contract.

According to The Guardian, Alves was not impressed with the efforts his current club is taking in order to keep him in the roster.  Alves, who also played the right-back position for Sevilla in the past, has previously shown his interest into transferring to any club in the Premier League that would meet his expectations.

Alves said in an interview, "From June 7, I'll announce my future. My intention was not to speak, but I haven't been respected with a lot of silly things." According to International Business Times, Barcelona is already planning to acquire Sevilla's Aleix Vidal and Sporting Lisbon right-back Cedric Soares in order to fill the hole in case Alves decides to leave the club.

Playing as a winger and right-back for Sevilla, Barcelona will most likely sign Vidal in case negotiations with Alves will not be fruitful for the club. According to Latin Post, Alves' contract will expire right after the Champions League fixture against Juventus.

Apart from Manchester United, French football club Parish Saint-Germain and Liverpool were also rumored to be interested to sign Alves once he left Barcelona.

Current Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has already stated his intention of adding more muscle into his club's defense. Aside from Alves, Manchester United is also targeting Nathaniel Clyne who currently plays for Southampton. Though the club has already expressed its interest in acquiring Schalke defender Benedikt Howedes, Mats Hummels who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund is still the top priority.
