From glee club member to single mother, Lea Michele is out to prove that she is more than just a pretty voice - she can star in a biker drama too.

The 27-year old "Glee" actress took to her Twitter account to post announcements about her upcoming role on one of her favorite shows, "Sons of Anarchy".

"Sons of Anarchy", FX's highest rating show, is entering its seventh and final season.

Michele is set to appear in its sixth episode, airing October 14.

Michele will be playing the role of Gertie, a single mother and truck-stop waitress who will develop a close bond with a down-trodden Gemma, played by Katey Sagal.

On July 28, the actress posted a logo of the show with the caption: "I'll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar & @sutterink #SOAFX".

The post was then followed by a July 29th photo of Lea Michele on the set of "Sons of Anarchy" with the show's executive producer and principal director, Paris Barclay.

Aside from "Sons of Anarchy", Barclay has also directed "NYPD Blue", "Numb3rs", "The Shield", "Weeds", "Monk" and 2 episodes of "Glee" among other hits.

Michele's photo with Barclay had the caption: "On set at @SonsofAnarchy with my favorite person@Harparbar this is so cool! #SOAFX"

While the addition of Michele as a guest star in the series may seem rather odd, this isn't the first time "Sons of Anarchy" has included a musically-inclined, popstar actress into its rather dark, violent world. In its fifth season, the show had Ashley Tisdale of "High School Musical" fame play a call girl.

Creator Kurt Sutter said that a huge casting announcement would be revealed during the show's Comic-Con panel on Sunday. However, minus Michele, casting revelations have yet to be announced.
