Louis Lombardi Defends Kiefer Sutherland After Freddie Prinze Jr. Feud

Freddie Prinze Jr. has sparked up some heated discussion when he spoke out against 24 star Kiefer Sutherland. The two had previously worked on the FOX show. Prinze is now saying that his 24 experience has not been an ideal one.

In an interview with ABC News, the 38-year-old actor explained that, "I did 24, it was terrible."

He also added, "I hated every moment of it... Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash, I'd say it to his face, I think everyone that's worked with him has said that."

The Scooby-Doo actor said he had been forced to take off his shoes in his scenes with Kiefer, so he did not have to appear taller over 24's leading man.

Although a number of Sutherland's past co-actors, including 24 guest star Shohreh Aghdashloo, have put forward similar criticisms of the British-Canadian actor, Louis Lombardi came to his defense.

Referring to his experience with Kiefer on the set of 24, the American actor claimed, "He was one of the most professional actors I've ever worked with."

In his interview with Us Weekly, Lombardi further pointed out, "He wanted the best out of everybody. I have nothing but great experiences with him. He's a gentleman."

In the same interview with ABC News, Prinze Jr. compared Sutherland with WWE's Vince McMahon and said that it was a tougher but more tolerable job.

"I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE for Christ's sake and it was a crazier job than working with Kiefer", he said. "But, at least he was cool and tall. I didn't have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do. Just put the guy on an apple box or don't hire me next time. You know I'm 6 feet and he's 5'4"."

Having worked with Sutherland on 24, Sara Gilbert and Aisha Tyler have offered the Golden Globe winner their support in a segment on their American chat show, The Talk, last July 28.
