In September issue of Elle UK, Sports Illustrated supermodel, Kate Upton has shared loving her body and how she felt when she had finally become a woman, adding she has embraced her body while ignoring agents who had convinced her to lose weight.

The Florida native is known for her hot, curvy body. As she claimed she ‘had begged for her body her whole life,” ‘The Other Woman’ star admitted she was never spared in the modeling stereotypes known to the fashion industry with agents urging her to shed some pounds.

Upton emphasized that all of the suggestions made and given her landed on deaf ears.

‘When I first started modelling, I was a normal catalogue model,’ Upton said in an interview with Elle, as she talked about her beginnings in the modeling sphere with her famous curves.

Then she continued describing the impact it made on her when she finally felt she had become a woman.

‘Then, I became a woman, and I was really excited about becoming a woman. Because I’m from Florida, it’s all about being in bathing suits. It’s a different view of beauty there. You are ugly if you don’t have a curvy body. And I didn’t have one, and then I got one, and thought, “Yessss!” Upton said in the accompanying interview during the photo shoot for Elle’s cover in autumn.

A separate report by Mail Online noted the pressures faced by 22-year old buxom beauty as a model. She recalled being loved on the set during photo shoots. Yet feeling the heat when told to lose some weight by agents.

She said, ‘To me, agents don’t necessarily understand the realities of the industry; they’re sitting behind a desk.”

What was puzzling in the beginning Upton pointed out was the mixed reactions she was getting when she began her career in modeling.

‘And then people say: “Oh, wow, you’re healthy,” Upton, quipped before adding, 'And you’re like, “Wait – what? I’ve been begging for this body my whole life!”’

Kate Upton rose to international superstardom for her curvy body. The model- actress began her career in 2008 when she attended a casting call for Elite Model Management in Miami, Florida. Her online biography noted that she was signed by the Elite Model on the same day and shortly moved to New York to sign with IMG Models.

It was not long after when she graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated magazine and consequently skyrocketed to international fame.
