Kenneth Ma described filming the new TVB Republican Era series 'Lord of Shanghai' as rather relaxing when asked to share about his experiences on set in a previous interview.
The Hong Kong actor appears in ten episodes of 'Lord of Shanghai', playing the younger version of actor Anthony Wong's character in the drama. Kenneth Ma shared that he had sufficient time to sleep and that the work load was a lot less tedious.

Despite being tanned a little from filming his scenes outdoors, the actor revealed that he didn't suffer any injuries related to heat. The character he was portraying was that of a poor man who wears thin clothing most of the time, so the heat didn't really pose as a problem.
'Lord of Shanghai' is a drama series that revolves around the triad groups in Shanghai, a rampant issue during the Republican Era in China. The scenes were mostly filmed in downtown Shanghai, but other filming sets were located in Hong Kong.
In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he has been getting advice from great actors in the cast like Wayne Lai and Kent Tong.
Instead of feeling the pressure of being in the presence of veteran actors, Kenneth said that everyone had been extremely nice to him.
"The strongest actors actually give us the least amount of pressure, because they know that if they do, our acting would be worse than usual. So instead, they encourage us to do better."
During filming, the 40-year old actor shared a lot of scenes with Kent Tong. Kenneth commended Kent Tong for being a brilliant actor, and while he didn't get to share any scenes with Anthony Wong, he still came to the set to watch him act.
Kenneth Ma also shared some words of wisdom. He said that learning new acting strategies is very beneficial since their demographic might think that his characters are too similar if he would just use his style.
The actor remarked that he is ready to change his acting path at any given time should chance present itself.
