Looks like Microsoft is on acquisition spree as the technology giant confirmed to buying out 6Wunderkinder, a firm better known for its to-do app called Wunderlist.
According to USA Today, Microsoft confirmed that it had acquired 6Wunderkinder, a German start-up. While there is still no official comment from any of the companies, the worth of the deal is being valued at anywhere between hundred and two hundred million dollars. The move clearly indicates Microsoft's keen interest to strengthen its foothold in the domain of mobile apps.

However, this is not the first acquisition by Microsoft. Another report on Engadget points out that not so long ago, Microsoft acquired Acompli and revamped it into the new versions of Outlook for Android and iOS. The company also acquired Sunrise's calendar app but they haven't been able to do much with this new acquisition. Given this situation, it is still pretty unclear as to what Microsoft plans to do with its latest acquisition.
Meanwhile in a statement issued by Christian Reber, CEO of 6Wunderlist, he said that users will still be able to access the app on all app stores. The Wunderlist app is extremely useful. Ever since its launch in 2010, the app has successfully built a massive customer base of thirteen million users across the globe. In his statement, Reber also said that with 6Wunderlist now being a part of Microsoft, the team now had access to more knowledge and expertise that would help in improving the deliverables for the end user.
Wunderlist helps people create their to-do lists and even share them with friends as well as family. As of now, the app is available free of charge. The uniqueness of this app is that users can comfortably attach a PDF or a photo to a specific task, which makes it easier for them to mark it.
Microsoft, on the other hand said that it was keen to use Wunderlist's features and innovations to its own app and services in order to help create better options for customers, when it comes to juggling their daily tasks.
