Moreover, this camera to smartwatch technology could even allow the parents to video-chat with their kids anytime, and from anywhere.
The other tech solutions Qihoo 360 will be providing for Huayuan's home development projects include smart fire, gas, and security alarms, security routers, wearable health and location trackers, and other devices aimed towards providing secure and intelligent digital home management systems.
Qihoo 360 CEO Hongyi Zhou recently stated that while the company's flagship products have always aimed towards mobile devices like smartphones, this new partnership with Huayauan marks the beginning of the firm's rise to the smart home industry and the Internet of Things (IoT) markets.
According to the Street Insider, the aforementioned companies are the first in the private sector to respond to the Chinese government's "Internet Plus" initiative, which is basically a call for the Internet sector to partner up with conventional firms (like real estate developers).
"The future is all about interconnectedness," said Zhou. "with a vast ecosystem of connected intelligent instruments, providing more secure and convenient services."
Zhou also iterated that Qihoo's partnership with Huayuan aims to develop tech which will benefit future generations. The smart home system is only the first step of many aimed to offer home and office owners remote access to their properties.
Along with the creation of the first Chinese smart home system, Qihoo and Huayuan also revealed that they are planning to initiate an intelligent hardware investment fund. Essentially, this is aimed to help Chinese tech startup companies improve their development process and expedite their success. In turn, this helps improve China's overall production of high-quality, secure, open, and accessible intelligent hardware for personal, business, and home use.
