In a Tuesday appearance on "The View", Maksim Chmerkovskiy announced that he will no longer be part of "Dancing with the Stars".
The 34-year old dancing icon said that he is done with dancing and that it was time he left the show.
Chmerkovskiy, who danced with Meryl Davis during the eighteenth season of "Dancing with the Stars", said that he intends for Davis to be his last partner, especially since they were crowned champions.

One of the pro-dancers reasons for wanting to leave the hit series is because he wants to start a family. He said he believes he has a lot to offer on the family front.
Chmerkovskiy is currently being romantically linked to pop diva Jennifer Lopez, whom he celebrated her 45th birthday with recently.
He was gone from the reality dance show during its sixteenth and seventeenth seasons in an attempt to pursue acting and other career opportunities.
When he came back after a two-season hiatus, he felt different about the show and his place in it. He said he looked at all the new talents in the show and felt "they can do much more and better. I was taking up a huge spot."
Last March, Chmerkovskiy admitted that he was offered to be a regular judge on the "Dancing with the Stars" after his hiatus, but that he refused the offer and wanted to continue working on the show as a dancer.
Although Chmerkovskiy appeared as a guest judge of the show's seventeenth season, there is no word yet on whether or not the judgeship will be offered to him again or whether or not he will accept it.
The dancer first appeared on the reality show's second season. Before his recent win as champion, he has managed to place second twice and place third twice as well.
