Cindy, IU's character in "The Producers," cut a lonesome figure in the previous episode of the show. She was seen shedding silent tears while resting in the hospital bed, and there was no one around to console her. She seems to have no friend inside or outside the entertainment industry, and the viewers have yet to see a family member of hers. The episode 6 may reveal some details about Cindy's background as a friend of hers is making an appearance.

"You're All Surrounded" actress Go Ara will be making a cameo appearance as Cindy's celebrity friend. Ara's agency SM Entertainment confirmed her casting, saying, as quoted by Soompi, "Go Ara is planning on making a cameo on 'Producer.' She will appear as IU's friend."

The report, however, suggests that she is the kind of friend that one would not like to have in one's life. The two will not be seen having a friendly conversation or having a good time together. Their meeting will become the battle of nerves.

"The Producers" has continued to hit the headlines because of cameo appearances by popular Korean actors and idols. The episode 5 saw actor-singer Lee Seung Gi, who was Ara's co-star in "You're All Surrounded," making a guest appearance as himself. He shared screen space with Cindy, Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin) and Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun).

In addition to Seung Gi, the list of celebrities who have already made guest appearances on "The Producers" include Yoon Yeo Jung, Shin Dong Yup, Jang Hyuk, Lee Chun Hee, Yoo Hee Yeol, and JYP. The upcoming episodes may see many more such appearances.

Meanwhile, this week's episodes will see the romantic love triangle involving Tak Jin, Seung Chan, and Cindy becoming more complicated. Cindy is attracted to Seung Chan who is completely unaware about her growing feelings for him. He is dealing with his own heart complications as he is falling in love with a woman who has feelings for her friend of 20 years, Ra Joo Mo (Cha Tae Hyun).

"The Producers" will have a 12-episode run and according to the latest report, the team is currently discussing the airing of a special episode, featuring behind the scenes, after the drama ends.
