Fans are anticipating the release of "The Walking Dead" game at the E3 event this year, as the developer Telltale Games promised for some action during this event, a long time ago. But it seems like the fans need to wait a bit longer for the game to finally hit the market as it is expected to be fully released not before 2016, said reports.

In order to appease the fans who have been waiting a long time for the game, the developer is releasing "The Walking Dead" mini series. Fans will have to wait till E3 to know more about the upcoming release.

In their latest tweet, Telltale reportedly said that the Season 3 of "The Walking Dead" will not be coming for a while but they will release a mini version, which will bridge the second season and take it to the point from where the third season will be starting, as per The Play Station Lifestyle.

Telltale Director PR Job Stauffer himself wrote this tweet earlier this week. He seemed to be pretty excited about the E3 event and urged fans to look forward to that event with equal enthusiasm. This mini series is expected to reveal the time lapse, which will be seen in the third season and will also showcase whether or not the season two stars make it to the third season, according to Gimme Gimme Games.

Other Telltale projects like "Minecraft: Story Mode" will not make it to the E3 2015 event but might see the day of light at another event. It is anticipated that this game will most likely be released at the Minecon event, which is taking place in London on July 4 and July 5, 2015.

Other E3 news includes the announcement of the NX console from Nintendo for their Quality of Life products and their future plans for the smart phone devices. Nintendo denied that the upcoming gaming console NX will not be Android-based, even though there have been reports to the contrary.

Also, Square Enix will announce a secret title at the E3 event.
