These days, smartphones are getting more and more luxurious and expensive. Each month, a new model comes out that trumps the previous one. However, not all new models present a distinct difference that truly sets it apart from the rest, until Gresso handsets emerged.

The materials used to create the Gresso Regal Gold are truly high class: Grade 5-titanium and Gorilla Glass. Grade 5-titanium is commonly used to create airplane parts, surgical implants and jewelry while Gorilla Glass, a registered trademark of Corning, is a toughened damage-resistant glass. This combination makes usual smartphone designs from the leading manufacturers seem plain and easy to break.
The design of the phone is truly what makes it one of a kind. The smartphone almost looks like a piece of fine jewelry with its elegant lines, minimalistic etchings and opulent form. The gold shimmer is made possible by a PVD coating, with a strip of 18K Yellow Gold at the back where the collection number and the Gresso logo are engraved.
The specifications of the Gresso Regal Gold are not totally revealed, since the target market of this smartphone is obviously the status-hungry rich instead of the tech-savvy geek. Even if that is the case, it can be assured that the performance will be at par with the leading brands that run on Android, packing a 5-inch 1080p resolution screen, a quad-core processor, a 13 megapixel main camera, and a 5 megapixel front camera. Measurements of the Gresso Regal Gold are 5.63 x 2.76 x 0.34 inches, and weighs 7.23 ounces.
Founded in 1999, Swiss company Gresso is a manufacturer of luxury smartphones that are plated in titanium. The designs look sleek, chic, and stunning and are built to last under extreme conditions with the titanium casing. If a material as strong as titanium can withstand high velocities and temperatures when used on airplanes, titanium used on a smartphone may very well ensure its durability for a long period of time.
Those who are under a tight budget can still enjoy the durability of a titanium phone with the fairly affordable titanium line by Archos. The dual-SIM smartphones are priced from $137 to $160, depending on the screen size. Archos' titanium smartphones are released to coincide with the titanium tablets that the brand previously released. Specifications of the four screen differences are basically the same except for the weight and resolutions.
