Leaks can cause problems to boats; and for the Netflix show "Daredevil," a leak just cost them one of their best bet for Bullseye.

Most of the time rumors are considered half-truths when they are released to the public, but there are times that rumors destroy the future of a very promising future, despite the investments. Case in point: Jason Statham will not play Bullseye for the Netflix hit show "Daredevil." Despite Geek Tyrant reporting that his agent as well as the Internet streaming company were already in deep talks for the "Daredevil" nemesis, the action star already dropped out.

No official report of the dropout has been filed since it never was officially released that he will play the "Daredevil" rival, but Screen Rant did made mention that it could have been due to the positive online reaction the rumor received that scared the studios, fearing that the initial feedback of the fans might suddenly spike up the finances of the "Crank" star, thus backing out of the initial deal.

This is not the first time this has happened to Marvel. Bloody Disgusting reiterates that with regards to the upcoming "Doctor Strange" movie, Joaquin Phoenix was already in negotiations to play the titular character. The attention made the deal go sour, and in just a few months Phoenix was replaced by Benedict Cumberbatch, and the rest is history.

The second season of "Daredevil" will not start filming until next month, so there is still plenty of time for Marvel and Netflix to look for their prized Bullseye. Whomever will be selected will have to go through a slew of criticisms both good and bad, especially given that Statham was supposed to fill in the shoes that he will be wearing. For the die-hard Marvel fans, they need not wait to get their Marvel fix since "AKA Jessica Jones" will be released by Netflix by this fall, while "Luke Cage" and the second season of "Daredevil" will follow in 2016.
