“The Walking Dead” has him with a character that exudes virility with a soft heart while she is adorn by her gentle and sweet, singing voice. Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) almost had their fans fooled as they kept them wanting for romance to grow by the end of Season 4.

The relationship between Daryl and Beth grew closer when driven out of the prison Rick Grimes made a safe haven for TWD survivor in Season 4. The duo’s journey had allowed fans to see and hope for a romantic spark between Daryl and Beth.

Fans saw the looks they exchanged when Beth was asking Daryl to teach her how to track. That was when she decided she wanted to follow the children under her care, especially Rick and Lorie’s newborn baby.

Things began to heat up when Beth asked Daryl to look for a drink. When the sexy bow-man refused, Beth went to look for abandoned bar herself, only to find himself rescuing the blond beauty from “walkers.”

Millions of TWD fans also saw the chemistry between the two while they were enjoying peanut butter and more food they haven't had in ages which they found in an abandoned mortuary. Who would forget Daryl taking comfort in an unused coffin while Beth played one of her favorite songs as he requested?

The fans saw this. But did Daryl know he had this feelings for Beth? Not according to Norman Reedus, the man who portrayed Daryl’s character.

“If Daryl has a thing for Beth or whatever, I always saw that as, if he did, he didn’t understand those feelings. He might have felt them, but it wasn’t a thing,” Reedus began during the interview at last weekend’s Comic-Con in San Diego, according to The Stir.

In the same interview, Reedus explained what Daryl might be feeling for Beth.

Reedus added, “He was sort of uncomfortable with those feelings, but there might be hope somewhere down the line and then it was taken from him, again. Reunited with his brother, taken. Found his family in the prison, taken. Almost got Sophia, taken. It’s like over and over and over again. And that happens to all of us.”

But how did Daryl see Beth? Was he beginning to fall for her when she was yelling at him to “let go of himself,” relax a little and not to be too self-absorbed?

“Beth was kind of like this long dark tunnel. She was kind of like this little flame at the end of it. He got closer and closer to that flame and thought maybe he could see something and maybe there would be light and it’s getting warmer and warmer ... and then someone blew it out,” said Reedus.

Reedus was talking about the kidnapping incident when Beth was taken away by still unidentified individuals.

Will there be a chance for them to be reunited?

The first trailer released by AMC showed Beth actively trying to escape from the group that abducted her. Daryl for his part was seen black and blue, and all banged up trying to fight the enemies they found in Terminus.
