While the hottest topic in Hong Kong entertainment was that of Sire Ma's explicit video scandal that allegedly involved China's producer Wang Zi Qi, colleagues of the actress from TVB such as Myolie Wu, Sharon Chan and Moses Chan came to her defense, but Myolie Wu seemed to have gotten into trouble for it.

While others passed their judgment regarding the issue, Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu stepped forward to express her support for Sire Ma whose career has been severely damaged after her video scandal was leaked online.
The actress showed her support through a Weibo post, telling netizens to do the right thing and leave Sire Ma alone while she goes through her ordeal.
The actress posted, "Imagine, what type of mistake permits a woman to suffer such a big punishment? Imagine, how much money did she cheat? How much affection and love did she cheat? If a woman doesn't fully trust her partner, why would she go nude and totally give her body to the other person?"
Additionally, the actress questioned people in her post what they would do if the same incident happens to them or to someone they know. A part of her post also asked netizens, "...would you still be willing to be an accomplice to this situation?"
Subsequent to the post of Myolie Wu, mainland businesswoman Laura Wu whose relationship with Wang Zi Qi got destroyed due to the latter's affair with Sire Ma, retaliated, also posting, "If a woman uses every inch of her body to seduce your other half, would you be an accomplice?"
The businesswoman also indirectly hinted on Myolie Wu's past relationship with Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong in her post.
Myolie Wu calmly replied to Laura Wu's post, telling the businesswoman to learn how to let go of others as well as herself.
Other commented good-naturedly, stating that despite of the news regarding Sire Ma's private life, it didn't foreshadow the fact that she is a good actress.
