Twi-hard fans, get over it because Robert Pattinson is over Robsten romance as he talked about cheating scandal that rocked the Twilight world, involving his equally famous ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart in an interview with Esquire UK for its September 2014 issue.

Two years after his former Twilight sweetheart was photographed kissing “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders, Pattinson finally opened up about the affair and shared how he had felt about it. And in the new interview with Esquire for its issue next month, “The Rover,” star claimed it’s water under the bridge.
“Shit happens, you know?” Pattinson said of the cheating scandal involving Stewart, according to Esquire. “It’s just young people… it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a shit?”
The “Water for Elephants” must know that millions of Twi-hard fans actually cared about his split from K-Stew, resulting primarily from her straying with a married man.
But the “Queen of the Desert” actor was quick to admit that the hard part came after the cheating scandal rocked Hollywood in July 2012. Comparing the controversy to John Patrick Shanley’s drama film, Pattinson described how he handled the gossip.
“The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can’t predict,” he said. “It’s like that scene in "Doubt" [2008, in which Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a priest suspected of inappropriate behaviour], where he’s talking about how to take back gossip? They throw all those feathers from a pillow into the sky and you’ve got to go and collect all the feathers.”
The 28-year old English actor met Stewart on the set of the box-office hit fantasy film, “Twilight,” in 2008. He was 22 while Kristen was barely 17. The duo eventually hooked up but they strongly denied being romantically linked during the production of the hit film. It was only in July 2012 when Stewart finally admitted that “her boyfriend was English.”
It did not take long for Twi-hard fans to rejoice over the news and Us Weekly published a series of damaging photographs featuring Stewart and Sanders. It may be too late for Kristen, but the “Speak” star issued a public apology to Pattinson through People magazine.
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,” Stewart was quoted as saying by People.
Robsten got back together in time for the premiere of the last sequel of “Twilight” in October 2012. They stayed together until they finally broke up again in May 2013. They never got back together. Despite the cheating scandal that rocked their worlds, Pattinson and Stewart remained friends and reportedly communicated since the split.
Each remains a big target by the swarming paparazzis. To this, Pattinson claimed he's puzzled how photographers continue to follow him around.
“I used to dress up my assistant as me, and get him to drive off with like five cars following him around for hours,” he was quoted as telling Esquire UK, according to The Huffington Post.
He added, “I think it goes through periods where you’re assigned ‘this is the guy to follow.’ But whenever I see a bunch of paparazzi hanging out, I always think, ‘Oh God, what have they found out!’ Oh, THAT love child! I totally forgot!”
The former model began his acting career playing Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” While everyone was focused on Daniel Radcliffe for the title role, Pattinson skyrocketed to international superstardom when he landed the iconic role of Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” novels.
Robert Pattinson will grace the cover of Esquire UK in September 2014.
