'Super Smash Bros.' New Characters: Ryu And Roy Confirmed For The Game At E3 2015; Nintendo Reveals New Trailers, Stages, Costumes! [VIDEOS]

According to Gamerant, Nintendo has confirmed that the "Street Fighter" fan favorite Ryu and "Fire Emblem" hero Roy have been confirmed as DLC characters for "Super Smash Bros." for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U consoles.

Nintendo has also began streaming the character trailers for both Ryu and Roy as they put their skills to the test against the likes of Mario, Bowser, Donkey Kong etc. in "Super Smash Bros." for the 3DS and Wii U.

It was previously reported that both Ryu and Roy are rumored to be added in "Super Smash Bros." and Nintendo is planning to reveal new details for the game on the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center this week.

Aside from the new characters, VG 24/7 reported that "Super Smash Bros." creator Mashiro Sakurai also revealed new stages, costumes and a patch update for the game in the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

According to Sakurai, the new stages in "Super Smash Bros." includes Dream Land from the first game in the N64 era, Ryu's Suzaku Castle in "Street Fighter" franchise and a new Miiverse stage, which were posted from character-specific Miiverse communities.

Gamer's can purchase the Dream Land and Suzaku Castles stages at a price of $1.99 or $ 2.99, Polygon wrote.

The website futher adds that new Miiverse costumes were added in the "Super Smash Bros." from other video game titles such as the Inklings from "Splatoon," Heihachi from "Tekken," Akira Yuki and Jackie Bryant from "Virtua Fighter," Zero from "Megaman X," Megaman from "MegaMan EXE." and more.

Gamerant adds that these costumes will cost around $0.75 with an option to purchase them in cross-platform fashion at $1.15 each; however, if gamers want the whole DLC pack, they can buy it online at a price $22 or $29, IGN reported.

Lastly, "Super Smash Bros." will also have a new update as Sakurai explained that a new online community tournament called "Tournie" will be added in the game on August, and players can record and share fight videos on YouTube.


"Super Smash Bros." is currently available in stores for the Nintendo 3DS and for the Wii U.
