There are growing speculations that the New England Patriots' could possibly start superstar quarterback Tom Brady during the team's first regular season game against the Pittsburg Steelers on September 10, according to SB Nation.

This emerged following the findings of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) that the report Theodore "Ted" Wells wrote with regards to the accusation against Brady and the Patriots for deflating game day footballs used during their AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts was "doctored and faked", as per Centrio Times.

AEI created a formal report of its own to officially debunk some of the content of the Wells report regarding Deflategate which was submitted to the league last May 5.

The AEI document was published in The New York Times on June 12. It contains findings disclosing that some of the items in the NFL-subsidized Ted Wells Deflategate scrutiny was "deeply flawed" and "unreliable."

AEI said that the report was faulty because the computation used to verify whether the Patriots' game balls are more deflated than those used by the Colts are erroneous and inaccurate. Also, the group had found out that Wells did not explore and examine every "relevant" angle and situation with regards to the changes in air pressure that was discovered in the footballs.

One example of the overlooked angle or situation would be the failure to consider the indoor temperature in the locker room where the balls were kept as compared to the outdoor temperature on the field where it was used during play. The timing of pressure tests was also not considered in the Wells investigation.

The report from AEI was published days before the scheduled June 23 hearing of Brady's appeal to the league to reverse his suspension. Although not all the data in the Wells report were discredited by AEI, league sources say that the document would play a lot to support Brady's defence.

Brady was suspended for four games by the NFL after they found out that the balls used in the AFC game mentioned above was underinflated. The Patriots were fined $1 million dollars and was removed of two future draft picks as well.

Robert Kraft, the owner of the Patriots franchise, decided not to file any appeal regarding the punishment. But Grady chose otherwise. Because of the current developments, the two-time NFL and three-time Super Bowl MVP may likely find the justice he was looking for after all.
