The fight to keep the identities of British and American spies on the verge of being exposed because of the recent crackdown on the million decoded encrypted files that were leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

According to the Daily Mail, Russia and China had finally found a way to expose some of the leaked files exposed by Snowden. MI6 was quick to pull out their spies in territories where the said files were exposed. Snowden is now accused of being responsible on someone's life because of the said leaked files while a senior Home Office official even  tagged Snowden as "Having blood on his hands."

Snowden's actions have led to secret services having a hard time tracking terrorists online, but after the leaked files, the secret service believes the top secret materials about the spies' identities are now available in Moscow and Beijing.

In an interview with a British Intelligence member, he said, "Snowden has done incalculable damage. In some cases, the agencies have been forced to intervene and lift their agents from operation to prevent them from being identified and killed." The leak has caused enough setbacks and delays on the part of the British and American government including the NATO, said reports.

In 2013, citing multiple reports, Snowden left the United States but not before he was able to leak confidential files to the media. Extracted from the Western Intelligence agencies, the 1.7 million secret documents were now the target of powerful countries such as Russia and China, in their hopes of identifying possible spies staying in their country.

In his statement, Snowden claims that the reason he did such thing is to protect the "privacy and basic liberties" of innocent people. As for the security of the leaked files, he said, "No intelligence service could decrypt the documents. I was able to keep such information from being compromised even in the highest threat of counterintelligence environment."

The NSA project has now been accused of endangering the lives of others because of the leaked files. Under Vladimir Putin's protection, Snowden remains in exile in Moscow since 2013.
