"Tings," the new social networking site is set to make a difference by incorporating the user's voice as a means of communication rather than their typing skills.
According to TechInAsia, Tings Co-founder Fang Ning wants to make sure that there are no unwanted communications, and challenges its users to use their voice in sending messages. While Fang still supports anonymous message sending, he also wants to make it even more interesting with this new innovation. He said, "With Tings, we challenge that being anonymous is more than talking behind people's back, we believe that being anonymous is about freedom and equality."

Tings app is available in IOS and Android, wherein users are allowed to record their voice for a maximum of 11 seconds and users are able to tag people that concerns their update and make it discoverable. In their recent studies, the psychological effect of saying anything under the anonymous profile of texting has reportedly become more and more intolerable, and target users of such inappropriate messages become very vulnerable. Fang says that using voice as a means of communication will enable senders to be more careful about what they say and be more sensitive to their messages.
The breakthrough, however, is being challenged by a mobile app that allows users to add sound effects to their voice messages in order for them to become unrecognizable. The other challenge is also found in the predictability of the words said. Tings aims to expand globally, but the challenge of censorship in China makes it harder for the new social media to be known worldwide.
The fun side of the new social media site, according to Product Hunt, includes security where people will be able to recognize your voice as the owner of the message, fun because of the various ways you can challenge yourself to give effects to your voice messages, sincerity because of its ability to orally communicate with one another, and most of all, its ability to connect people in the most "human to human form of expression."
