It took no mutant superpower for Chinese actress Fan Bingbing to become a real-life hero. Without batting an eye, she came to the rescue of a five-year-old boy whom she found bleeding along Moganshan Road in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Fan immediately took the injured child to a local hospital.

According to Shanghaiist, Fan was shooting a reality show on the afternoon of June 15 when she chanced upon the little boy, identified as Xiao Ke Le, and his aunt on the road. The child was sitting on the pavement, his mouth bleeding. According to local police officer Yao Hong Feng, the boy was riding at the back of his aunt's electric bike when another vehicle collided with them. Yao said he was moving the e-bike to the roadside and the aunt was carrying Ke Le to the pavement when a taxi drove by the accident site.

Yao described the taxi driver as a woman in a face mask. The female driver asked if they need to bring the boy to the hospital and helped carry the child into the backseat. Ke Le broke his front teeth, Global Times reported. The little boy was crying in pain throughout the ride when the driver turned around to comfort him. It was when the female driver removed her mask that Yao identified her as Fan Bingbing.

At the hospital, Fan made sure that the boy and his aunt were properly attended to by the doctors. Reports showed that Fan helped them from registration to the end of the check-up. A photo posted on One Hallyu also revealed that Fan herself carried Ke Le to the emergency room and stayed with him throughout the doctor's examination of his injuries. According to an article by Shanghaiist, Fan apparently left her phone and purse at the shoot location, and she handed the aunt 300 yuan as a small gesture of assistance with the expenses. One doctor lauded Fan for her concern about Ke Le's condition before she returned to the shoot.

"She accompanied the boy for half an hour and politely said goodbye when his treatment ended," shared a doctor surnamed Ge with Global TImes.
