Lee Kwang Soo of the Korean variety show, "Running Man", is not only well-known in his own country. The actor is quite popular across Asia and in China in particular. In fact, Kwang Soo had already been invited to star in numerous Chinese variety shows. As for his Fruitips commercial in China, the said video uploaded on YouTube has gained massive views.

Early in Jan., Kwang Soo was invited to star in the Nestle commercial for Fruitips. Joining the Korean actor in the commercial was Hong Kong-based actress, Lu Feng. Kwang Soo, also known as "Asian Prince," went through numerous outfits for the commercial, which lasted two days to shoot.
Despite the many outfit changes and not to mention having to learn Cantonese in a matter of minutes, Kwang Soo remained cheerful. At the end of the filming, he had shaken the hands of everyone involved in the commercial.
Well, it looks like Kwang Soo's hard work in the Fruitips commercial has paid off. According to a report by Mwave, the Fruitips commercial, which stars the "Asian Prince", ranked number one on Hong Kong's YouTube Ads Leaderboard 2015. The video has more than a whopping two million views from the months of Jan. to April. The second video in the list has a mere 800 thousand views.
Locals in China have called it an exceptional feat. As for the rep from Nestle's Fruitips, since having asked Kwang Soo to star in the commercial, the snack has gained popularity as well.
"I think Lee Kwang Soo, who has been receiving a lot of love not only in Korea but in Asia at large, received a lot of attention because it was his first time appearing in an ad in Hong Kong. By speaking in Cantonese, the people of Hong Kong found Lee Kwang Soo to be more approachable," stated the rep from Nestle's Fruitips.
Chinese fans have more commercials to look forward to, which stars the "Asian Prince." Early in April, the "Running Man" star had once again been invited to film a commercial for a Chinese snack. Joining Kwang Soo this time around is none other than Kim Jong Kook, his cast member from "RM".
Other members of "Running Man" will head out to Hong Kong by July 3 for the much anticipated fan meeting. This is one event not to be missed by Chinese fans.
