(Photo : Reuters / Jonathan Alcorn) Cast members and producers of ''The Walking Dead'' take part in a panel discussion at AMC's TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California, January 14 2012.
Despite the spreading news and overly eager fans firing off via different social media sites, the Daryl Dixon-Beth Greene romance is not happening in real life.
Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney, the actors who play Daryl and Beth, respectively, in the AMC series "The Walking Dead," has been rumored to have been seeing each other. E! Online, on the other hand, completely refuted this gossip, saying that a representative from Reedus's side confirmed that the two are just friends.

The rumor first caught wind after being announced by Us Magazine, stating that the two have stayed in touch via texts and attended each other's events, such as gigs and fan conventions. In fact, Reedus was spotted as an audience member cheering for the singer-songwriter, as spotted by a "Walking Dead" fan. It was the on-screen chemistry between the two that started it all, and despite getting killed off from the show, the two allegedly kept in touch, which just fanned rumors even more.
However, it was nothing but TV chemistry that made the fictional pairing happen, and the actors are completely okay with that. Currently, Reedus is busy filming the sixth season of "The Walking Dead," which is set to return to TV by October, aside from several side work with Djimon Hounsou, entitled "Air." On the other hand, the Daily Mail UK reported that Kinney is busy finishing her tour and has her hands filled with an upcoming studio album. She is also set to reprise her role in "Arrow" as Brie Larvan, so her coming out on any other show seems impossible, much less do a comeback in "The Walking Dead."
Overall, the not-so-couple may only exist in everyone's dreams, but that does not mean it cannot happen in the future. Anything is possible, and Beth Greene may suddenly return for Daryl during the upcoming season, in zombie form of course.
