Alec Baldwin, along with his wife, Hilaria, recently welcomed the arrival of a baby boy into their lives via an Instagram post.

Posting an adorable photo of a small hand grasping at a ring finger, Page Six reported that Hilaria Baldwin announced to the world the birth of their son, Rafael Thomas Baldwin. The "30 Rock" alum, on the other hand, went to the Twitter account of the Alec Baldwin Foundation, where he posted a sweet message along with a photo.

Next to the one-year old Carmen Gabriela, Rafael Thomas is the second child of the couple. The two have been married for three years.

The actor was quite surprised with the quick arrival of his son, with Contact Music reporting that the couple's doctor made them go bak and forth despite already feeling a little nauseous. Baldwin was present during the delivery, and he made mention that seeing her wife go through labor made him want trade places with her, even calling her his hero after going through 12 hours of labor.

Rafael Thomas is the third son of Baldwin; his first daughter, 19-year old Ireland, is from his marriage to Kim Basinger, who then was followed by Carmen Gabriela, his first child with now wife Hilaria.

Prior to the birth of Baby Baldwin, Hilaria, who does correspondent duties with the TV show "Extra," detailed her preganancy via different photo-sharing Web sites, updating fans of the progress. In fact, the pregnancy did little to slow her down, with Tonight reporting that she recently finished writing a fitness and wellness book.

Having a baby is definitely no laughing matter, and the addition of Rafael Thomas to Carmen Gabriel will definitely put more stress to the family. However, more than stress, babies do bring joy and exuberance to any family, and with two, this couple will definitely have their hands full.
