18-year-old teen killed by lightning strike when answering the phone under a tree

A deadly lightning strike accident happened in Ye County, Henan Province. An 18-year-old teenager was hit by lightning when he was answering the phone under a tree during rainstorm weather. When journalists arrived at Xindian Village in Ye County, the teenager's families were still suffering great sorrow caused by the tragedy. According to one of the dead boy's neighbor, the boy was just 18 years old, and he was in grade one of a senior high school. A few days ago, he returned home from school. On July 4th, he went to plant corns out of the village with his grandmother.

Around 5 p.m. on that day, an unexpected rainstorm came, and became more and more fierce. At the instant, the teenager's phone rang, and he picked up the phone. Suddenly, a flash of lightning lit the sky just the moment he was answering the phone. Then the boy was struck onto the ground. Through his grandma was scared out of her mind, she cried for help. After a while, the teenager was sent to hospital in the town. However, it was too late by the time he was treated. "After he was hit by lightning, his hands and chest have turned into black." A neighbor recalled.
According to a doctor in Xindian Township Health Center, around 5 p.m. on July 4th, the teenager was sent to hospital. After doctors checked his wound carefully, it was confirmed that all of the teenager's vital signs were gone. The tragedy should be a warning sign to all the people. We had better not to use phones or answer phones in stormy weather, especially out of doors, because it may be fatal.
