A striking photo of a UFO-shaped cloud was taken Wednesday in Guangdong province in south China. The cloud bears a striking resemblance to an alien spaceship, making many believe the snapshot to be a real unidentified flying object of the non-terrestrial kind.
Apparently, the photo only shows a rare lenticular cloud over Foshan. Sometimes, such clouds are reported as UFOs because of their lens shape, according to China Daily.

It is not only in China where lenticular clouds were seen this year.
In May, lenticular clouds showed themselves over Robertson and Leon counties in the United States. The clouds reportedly form over mountains, and they are rarely seen near the ground. However, there are instances where shear winds cause their formation.
The clouds over Texas appeared following severe weather in Texas and Oklahoma, which killed 18 people and spread flooding and devastation throughout the areas.
Apart from UFO watchers, glider pilots also seek out the rare clouds since they suggest "rising air around the bow of the cloud." As a result, gliders search for spots with the clouds to get a free lift toward higher altitudes, reported The Daily Mail.
Despite the scientific reasons, UFO watch blog UFO Sightings Daily seems to believe that the UFO-shaped cloud is a real alien sighting.
Since the China cloud photo was taken during sunset, the Web site believes it to be a real UFO as their cloaks are vulnerable during that time of day, making them visible between 30 seconds to 15 minutes.
UFOs are most vulnerable during sunsets, according to the site.
The Web site added that alien technology are able to create clouds or cloak itself to appear like a cloud, citing the Sept 1957 UFO event at Army Fort Belvoir, Verging, as an example.
The author also said that the UFO in the China photo seemingly rose up and out of the cloud in order to view the people below the ground. The object inside the cloud is said to be solid and not just gases because of a shadow forming on the cloud.
