Po and the Furious Five will once again grace the silver screen for "Kung Fu Panda 3," and the trailer promises a whole lot of laughs and one additional character: Po's dad.

The two-minute, six-second trailer starts introduces Li, the biological father of the ever-lovable protagonist of the franchise, Po, who both are too dull enough to notice despite the uncanny resemblance, which warrants a face palm from the townspeople.

Fans should be glad to know that Jack Black is reprising his role as Po, as well as the rest of the cast: Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross. The Weekly Observer reports that Brian Cranston of "Breaking Bad" fame will voice Po's father, and though the trailer does not reveal much at the moment, the father-son tandem will reportedly meet other pandas, and will collectively go against a supernatural villain.

The "Kung Fu Panda" franchise have always been a big hit for Dreamworks, being one of their money-making hits alongside the "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Shrek" franchises. However, the Los Angeles Times reports that the studio have had several recent lapses, and now they are betting big on hitting it off with this installment, especially in China, even tapping several partners from the country.

Despite these safety measures, "Kung Fu Panda 3" seems like an enjoyable movie that will deliver more laughs than it promises, with the supposed dumb humor that Jack Black is famous for, as reported by NDTV. With the rest of the cast members returning, the chemistry known to have worked in the first two movies will hoprfully resurface and turn the upcoming animated film into a hit.

The movie will kick into theaters January 2016, and from the initial trailer alone, fans should be excited to see how Po and Li will try to connect as father and son.
