Similar to the book, the slick site appeals to its fans by letting them sign up as "interns" at Grey Enterprises Holdings Inc.
Once accepted as an intern, a couple of assignments are given, such as the creation and sharing of one's Grey Enterprises ID using social media. He/She should also promote the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer, which one can easily do even without the need to register.
Interns are also asked to contribute to expanding the team, which has been continually growing as the site has had over 40,000 registrations.
Grey Enterprises Holdings Inc. has referred to itself as "a global leader in communications technologies, eco-manufacturing and next-generation farming solutions."
Aside from the Careers page, users can also head over to specific tables titled "leadership," "business" and "innovations," which offers a short description of the latest "carbon disclosure project."
An interactive app has also been developed for inspiring interns, allowing fans to promote the film using their smartphones.
Users can complete assignments, which include the identification of Grey's helicopter Charlie Tango and its number plate. They can subsequently begin earning rewards, such as A Power Heels Badge.
Interns are also instructed to check for new assignments on a weekly basis which may carry on before the film's release on Feb. 13, 2015 starring Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, and Jennifer Ehle, among others.
Published in 2011, Fifty Shades of Grey has drawn attention towards the relationship between 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele.
Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed follow as the second and third book, respectively.
Fifty Shades of Grey has been translated into more than 50 languages and has sold over 70 million copies all over the world both in print and in e-book versions.
