The Cheesecake Factory took the cake, and more, at this year's 2014 "Xtreme Eating Awards" by garnering three out of nine awards for its extremely unhealthy dishes.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has been scouring the US in search of restaurant meals which pack the "heaviest calorific punch," and The Cheesecake Factory was indeed a heavyweight contender in the set.

As the recipient of the awards, The Cheesecake Factory has now been added to the list of food providers who serve some of America's unhealthiest foods.

The survey, which ironically celebrates unhealthy food, is based on the USDA recommended intake of 2,000 calories per day for average adults.

After having won the award in the past, The Cheesecake Factory has made attempts to reformulate some of their meals. However, the restaurant chain's food is still one of the most qualified 'competitors' in the "Xtreme Eating Awards."

The 'winning meals' from the Cheesecake Factory include the Bruléed French Toast with 93 grams of saturated fat and almost 2,800 calories, Farfalle with Chicken and Roasted Garlic with more than 2,400 calories, and the Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake which has 1,500 calories per slice.

At the top of the list is Red Robin's Gourmet Burger Monster Meal which packs an astounding 3,540 calorie count, followed closely by the Big Hook Up platter from Joe's Crab Shack with 3,280.

Although they did not get the top spot in the "Xtreme Eating Awards," the Cheesecake Factory is the only food provider who garnered more than one spot, taking three out of nine.

"We're giving a special XXXtreme Eating award to The Cheesecake Factory," a CSPI press release stated, explaining that the restaurant could have easily filled all nine spots.

Meanwhile, The Cheesecake Factory founder and chief executive David Overton said that he was "sick" of winning in the Xtreme Eating Awards, although he did not reveal if the company plans on cleaning up its act with healthier fare.
