Did you know that fasting is more healthful compared to intentionally reducing weight? Well, for some reasons the answer is yes! Chronic ailments can be prevented by practicing fasting on its regular intervals.
According to the study based on the report of Time Gazette, there are researchers who proved that fasting can possibly improved longevity plus lesser risk of having chronic diseases. Researchers from U.S. and Italy tested a particular diet with lower proteins as well as calories. Guess what happened? The effect to the body was just the same with those who undergone fasting. The participants in the said study being conducted reduced the risk of having cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, and heart ailments.

In terms of weight reduction, after fasting like around 10 hours, our body already utilizes the fat tissues as energy. Such practice is best to those who are struggling to lose weight, said Zibdeh to ThinkProgress.
"People think that fasting means starvation, but that doesn't happen until someone doesn't eat for four consecutive days. "There are no dangers to fasting if people refuel in the evening hours. Fasting improves brain function and mood, increases vigilance and mental clarity. It also allows the gut to clean chemicals that accumulate. That doesn't happen often because when we eat, we interfere with that function," Zibdeh added.
Fasting can repair the damaged tissues in the body as well as avoid different types of diseases. This can also increase the mental wellbeing of the person and removes the toxins in our body. The limited intake of food can also lower the cholesterol levels which can be very helpful in the reduction of bad cholesterol in the body during the fasting period.
The dieting through fasting is proven as very effective and healthful according to Pioneer News as what the director of the USC Longevity Institute at the USC Davis School of Gerontology, Professor Valter Longo said. He said that fasting is not easy, but at least in different sense that other people think about it. He further said that the strict kind of fasting is difficult to maintain and can be very dangerous too. Hence, they developed a complex dieting with same effects to the body.
