Hip-hop and media mogul Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy or Puff Daddy, was arrested last Monday with charges of assault after an alleged incident inside the University of California, Los Angeles campus.
The rapper was arrested a little over noon at the Acosta Athletic Training Complex inside UCLA after assaulting someone with a kettlebell. However, the Los Angeles Times reported that the police brought the charges up-to-date, stating that the charges have been raised to three counts of assault using a deadly weapon, one count of terrorist threat, and one count of battery.

This is not the first time that P. Diddy has been involved in a violent exchange. As early as 1999 when he was still called Puff Daddy, he was already connected to a shooting at a New York nightclub. He was also connectd to the high-profile deaths of both Tupac Shakur, to whom he was blamed for setting up for him to be shot, and Christopher Wallace, also known as Notorious B.I.G., to whom he is a witness. In line with being charged with assault, he allegedly beat up Steve Stoute, a former Interscope executive, back in 1999. Since then, the two have made up and have appeared together on stage back in 2013 at Cannes.
Combs posted bail a few hours after the arrest. The New York Times reported that though the records show that the bail cost him $160,000, the officers in charge cleared it by saying that he posted only $50,000.
Justin Combs, the son of the rap mogul, is a defensive back on the school's football team. Another rap star kin playing for the UCLA Bruins is Cordell Broadus, son of Snoop Dogg.
Though unconfirmed, Reuters reported that the rapper was involved in an altercation with a football coach inside the facility. Jim Mora, the football coach for UCLA, declined to comment and wanted to let the legal process run though its due course. However, he did state that the incident was quite unfortunate for all parties involved.
