Technology has been one of the greatest innovations when it comes to traveling, and now, it has become more in demand as airline passengers are seen to be more dependent on mobile apps when checking details about their flights.
According to the Government Technology, the reliability of portable devices and mobile phones will be heavily relied on by passengers in checking flight updates, online check-ins and navigations, in case of lost luggage. In a survey made by an airline technology company, the next three years will be the moment where technology downpour is expected from airline companies. This initiative is to give passengers less stress when traveling and a more convenient way to organize their flight plans.

According to Nickel Pickford of SITA, travelers who enjoy their flight because of what technology contributes to them will likely to remain loyal customers and frequent flyers. He also added, "Happy travelers spend more money during the journey."
Currently, the minimal 9 percent of travelers who uses mobile apps to speed up their journey is seen to increase in the coming years at a predicted 24 percent. By the year 2018, most of the airlines will be implementing the various technology based services in their airports such as "automatic luggage drop-off machines" and luggage locator. Beacons, on the other hand, is a special mobile app that is powered by a Bluetooth that will simultaneously connect passengers to locations like check-in counters.
In an article published by the Telegraph, there are other third party travel apps that have been serving passengers all over the world such as taxi services and hotel accommodation apps.
Uber and Hailo are known to service travelers who wish to get their taxi service in the easiest way possible, whereas Hotel Tonight and Open Table caters to quick reservations on room and dining services. While they may not be directly connected to their flights, these services makes it even more interesting when passengers have easy access on these basic necessities.
Pickford said, "More and more people regularly connect with real time information."
