Microsoft has entered the world of NASCAR by sponsoring Dale Earnhardt Jr. of car #88. The sponsorship does not just end there as NASCAR partners with Microsoft's technology alongside Hendrick Motorsports.
According to FoxSports, acquiring a tech company to sponsor during NASCAR events has been one of the hardest things to accomplish. The tides may have already turned with Microsoft's involvement in providing technology for NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports, for an undisclosed number of years. Primarily, Microsoft will sponsor Earnhardt Jr's race on June 28 at the Sonoma Raceway and on August 2 at the Pocona Raceway.

No. 88 Chevrolet SS driver Earnhardt Jr will in return promote Windows 10, which is predicted to be released on July 29, a service by Microsoft that allows users of genuine and non- genuine users of Windows 7 and 8 to upgrade.
Steve Phelps, chief marketing officer of NASCAR, said "partnering with a global leader like Microsoft heightens our commitment to drive innovation and adopt state- of - the-art technologies across our sports." He also said that Microsoft's dependable track record when it comes to technological software has enabled the team to reinvent their inspection process. NASCAR is also looking forward in developing more of their control with the help of Windows 10.
In a post by BetaNews online, Earnhardt Jr. said, "I'm a big technology user and really enjoy Microsoft products. Kicking off the Hendrick Motorsports relationship with Windows 10 is a unique opportunity, and there's no doubt our ongoing technical partnership will help us raise the bar in many areas. It's great to see Microsoft is having such a positive experience with NASCAR and wants to do more across the sport. We're excited to be a part of that."
No. 88 NASCAR car will bear the logo of Windows 10, strategically placed on the hood of the racing car. While it may seem a normal capitalization on ads, this type of Microsoft's marketing strategy is reportedly very effective. The partnership has revolutionized the way ads are conquering the NASCAR world and vice versa.
Microsoft is just one of the few tech companies that sponsors NASCAR events.
