The Batman costume that Jaden Smith wore at the Florence wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has made another appearance, and this time, it is at the high school prom of the eccentric and philosophical 16-year-old, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Many have since been wondering if Will and Jada Smith's son had a deeper meaning for his wardrobe choice.

In an interview with GQ, the stylish actor finally explained the meaning behind the costume's presence on both the wedding and his prom, and he sure did not disappoint in the philosophical department in his interview Tuesday. 

Apparently, for Jaden Smith, the alter-ego of Bruce Wayne is one of his style icons. He said that he had been dressing in full superhero costumes since he was little.

Though there were no psychological motivations when he was still a kid, these days, he said, he had such motivations for the getup.

"I'm just expressing how I feel inside," Jaden told GQ.com. "Which is really no particular way because everyday it changes how I feel about the world and myself, but I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I'm a super hero, but don't have to necessarily wear superhero costumes every day."

"I wore the Batman suit to heighten my experience at the wedding and [at] prom, which was fun," continued the "After Earth" star. "But also, at the wedding, I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there, and needed to have the proper gear to do so."

This month's instalment of GQ featured Jaden in its list of "Most Stylish Men Alive," and the stylish teenager named his own style icons in the interview.

Once seen donning an Iron Man costume during the day, Jaden said his icons included Batman, Robin, Nightwing, which is Robin's later incarnation, Superman, and the only non-fictional character in the bunch, Kanye West.

The actor also mentioned his liking for leopard harem pants and flouncy dresses.

"I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I'm a superhero, but don't have to necessarily wear superhero costumes every day," he added.

He also did not forget to mention learning some fashion insights from his dad, Will Smith, according to MTV.

"My dad went on national television with a crop top on showing his belly button and to this day he regrets it," said Jaden. "So I show him pictures of it and he thinks it's literally hilarious. Thats my favorite Fresh Prince outfit by far."
