Creating better driving conditions on our roads is what every company should aspire towards. Gladly, Samsung is one of those companies as it recently demonstrated something it calls, "Clear."
Now, folks might be wondering, what is "Clear" and is it any good for the purpose of saving lives. Well, we can't say if it will save lives, but we can say it does look interesting from our point of view.

The feature is made possible by a screen on the back of a truck. This particular truck is home to a camera at the front, so drivers behind can view the screen to know what is ahead if the truck is taking up too much space to see.
This breakthrough technology will allow drivers to tell if it is safe to overtake or be more prepared for animal crossing among other things that could endanger life.
According to Samsung, it tested the new technology in Argentina, a country where road accidents and fatalities are very high. Samsung did not say what became of the test and whether or not it was successful enough to continue looking into it for possible commercial release.
What do we think?
In all honesty, it is not a bad idea, but we wouldn't recommend it at all. Such a truck could be the cause for more accidents rather than fixing the problem. We say this because it is possible that drivers would likely focus more on the screen rather than the truck's brake lights.
Drivers would not be able to realize in time if the truck is slowing down, and thus could ram directly into the rear.
For this to work, we'd suggest moving the brake lights to the screen. That way, drivers focusing on the display would be able to see the brake light more quickly.
At the end of the day, we doubt Clear will ever make it out of the labs and into the consumer sphere of influence. It is also sad to see that us humans require all these convenient technologies to drive better on the roads.
