Korea's f(x) Victoria to Act Opposite Chinese Star Peter Ho for China Remake of 'My Best Friend's Wedding'

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon Attends 'Together For Africa' Inauguration Ceremony

(Photo : Chung Sung-Jun/Getty Images) SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - AUGUST 12: (L-R) Victoria and Amber of f(x) arrive at the Inauguration Ceremony for 'Together For Africa' by South Korea's Red Cross and UNICEF at the Plaza Hotel on August 12, 2011 in Seoul, South Korea. For the next three months South Korean Red Cross and UNICEF will be fund-raising to help children of Africa's poorest nations.

Reports made on June 27 by Soompi stated that f(x)'s Victoria would be teaming up with a Chinese agency to work on Mandarin films. Fans of the Korean star immediately assumed that she would be leaving her girl group. However, SM Entertainment has confirmed that Victoria would still be with f(x) despite her Chinese activities.

After the announcement was made involving Victoria and her Chinese activities, rumors began to circulate that she would be leaving SM Entertainment and f(x). Yet, Victoria's agency was quick to quell the reports stating that she'd still be working under her Korean agency along with her Chinese agency.

Victoria leaving f(x) isn't the only rumor that SM Entertainment had to quell. Late in June, reports of Sulli leaving f(x) were also rife. However, SM Entertainment has yet to confirm if Sulli has indeed left the group.

"Sulli's departure from f(x) has not yet been finalized," says a rep of SM Entertainment in a report by the K-Pop Herald. The source added that "confirmatory talks" are still being held.

As for Victoria, the f(x) star is definitely going to be busy in China. So what is the Korean star set to work on? Well, there would be no singing or dancing that is one thing for sure. The Chinese affiliate claims Victoria of f(x) would be focusing on her acting.

In addition to an upcoming China remake of "My Best Friend's Wedding" where she'll star opposite Peter Ho, Victoria has been offered a number of drama series, which are still under negotiation and review.

Song Qian, Victoria's real name, is said to be under the wing of another manager while promoting her activities in China. This would be none other than Jia Shikai as reported by Showbiz Liputan6. The f(x) member's schedule will be closely monitored by her SM Entertainment agency.

Lately, aside from Victoria, a number of Korean stars have been crossing over to China. Some of these include Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong Kook of "Running Man." The pair has starred in a few Chinese commercials and variety shows. Both are said to star in the Chinese version of "Amazing Race."
