"Suburgatory" star Cheryl Hines is now officially a Kennedy.

Hines just married her beau, political activist Robert F Kennedy, Jr. at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport, Massachusetts. The two have been together since 2011.

The couple got married under a tent once owned by RFK, Jr.'s uncle, the late President John F. Kennedy, and his wife Jackie.

The 48-year old bride was radiant, wearing her hair in an up-do and donning a simple, yet beautiful short, strapless gown.

Guests included family, especially since they timed it to coincide with the Kennedy family reunion. Hines' "Curb Your Enthusiasm" co-star Larry David, Kevin Nealon and, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss were also present.

Singer Natasha Bedingfield and Country music star Lyle Lovett performed during the event.

The 60-year old Kennedy asked for Hines' hand in marriage last May.

After Hines accepted Kennedy's proposal, she found it so sweet that a lot of people were so excited about their engagement. She shared how excited she was to spend "a very long time" with the man she really liked being with.

Being a Kennedy might seem like a daunting responsibility at the get-go, but Hines shared that the Kennedys are a "genuine and gracious" clan, especially since she didn't really know what to expect. But after meeting them, she is convinced that they're "the most generous people" she's ever come across in her life.

Fortunately too, Hines comes from a big family, so joining the Kennedys felt natural.

Hines was previously married to Paul Young and the two had one daughter, Catherine Rose. They were married for eight years, until their divorce in 2010.

Kennedy, on the other hand, was married twice. His second wife Mary Richardson Kennedy committed suicide in May 2012. Kennedy has two kids by his first wife and four by Mary.
