New "Male Vibrator" Claims to Marry Science and Sensuality

Mention "vibrator" and you'd normally associate the word with that popular female sex toy invented in the 18th century.

A new male sex toy claiming "scientific" roots could make the concept of a male vibrator as acceptable as a female vibrator.

The name of this men's sex toy is "Pulse" and its inventors say it isn't accurate to call it a vibrator.

That's because Pulse doesn't vibrate, per se. Pulse oscillates.

Pulse uses oscillations to stimulate a man, according to Hot Octopuss, a sex toy company based in the United Kingdom that invented Pulse.

The company said Pulse uses the same oscillation technology found in medical devices that help men with spinal cord injuries.

Since it oscillates, Pulse can also be used as a massager or even as a hands free method of foreplay.

Hot Octopuss claims years of medical research has identified that vibrations applied in a very specific way can make a man ejaculate involuntarily.

The device's oscillation is caused by a "PulsePlate" that Hot Octopuss said is "designed to deliver the most powerful and unique orgasm you've ever experienced."

PulsePlate produces high-amplitude oscillations rather than low-amplitude vibrations.

Hot Octopuss said that when used with a lubricant, Pulse becomes a masturbator. Lubricant-free, Pulse is more like a static stimulator.

In the latter case, the PulsePlate provides stimulation by delivering powerful and deep high-amplitude waves direct to the frenulum, a most sensitive area.

The company said its testers have said they experienced a prolonged orgasm that felt like learning to masturbate all over again.
