NBC threw Donald Trump's famous words right to his face: YOU'RE FIRED.

The TV network dismissed Donald Trump after stating controversial statements about Mexicans, mentioning how most Mexicans in America are problematic, bringing in rape, drugs and all sorts of crime. In a National Public Radio podcast by Eric Deggans, he stated how NBC is letting go all shows that center and are produced by Trump, from "The Celebrity Apprentice" to the "Miss USA" and "Miss Universe" beauty pageant, which NBC and Trump co-own. The statement made by Trump caught not just the attention of Hispanic groups but of the Mexican government as well.

This is not the first time Trump bit off more than he can chew. Washington Post listed a lot of previous engagements that have caused NBC several headaches, including the apparent questioning of the origin and presidential qualifications of incumbent President Obama, which made MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell call out NBC and call Trump as a deranged egomaniac.

However, it is not exactly news that NBC has long since profited from Trump and his shows. However, his most recent musing is quite different, given that it offended not just a small community, but an entire country. Despite this, he was caught saying that he is in no position to apologize, and that he anticipated the end of said business deal. Star Tribune also reported how the camp of Trump called NBC weak and how just like how everyone in the USA is trying to be politically correct, they are all in serious trouble.

Thought Trump is considering suing the network, the long-term effect of this is not on NBC, but onTrump alone. Yes, he seems powerful right now, but discrimination is never a good image to have, especially if you have a brand to uphold. It may take a long time, but Trump needs to see the error of his ways early on so that the two camps can be in good terms before Miss Universe airs this July.
