Second-seed Milos Raonic pounded the net to defeat Vasek Pospisil, 6-1, 6-4, in an all-Canadian final at the Citi Open in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

Pospisil, the current Wimbledon doubles champion, tried to hold serve on the second set but Raonic's hard-hitting serves were more than enough to give the latter the win at the hard courts of the William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center.

This is Raonic's first finals appearance this year, the first all-Canadian finals in Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) history and his sixth career title after defeating American Donald Young 6-4 7-5 in the semis Saturday.
