When Iggy Azalea made a song with Britney Spears entitled "Pretty Girls," the 25-year-old rapper probably expected the tune to be a massive hit. But that was not the case. In fact, "Pretty Girls" bombed, which is why Azalea decided to put the blame on the pop princess, according to xpose.ie.

Naturally, Spears' fans and the 33-year-old pop icon herself are not those that back down from burning accusations. Spears fired a burn at Azalea, which probably put an end to the argument.

The Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears feud stemmed from the fact that "Pretty Girls" is just a very bad song, according to The Daily Beast. The site described it as an attempt at a remake for Iggy's song "Fancy," but only that it was "thrown in a blender with a pack of spotted hyenas, a set of dull knives, and shitty raps and set to desperation."

The Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears song has an identical beat to "Fancy," and the music video also has the "Clueless" parody in it.

Released in May 4, the Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears radio-ready tune completely bombed in the United States. It reportedly only peaked at No. 29 on Billboard's Hot 100. Total sales collected also reached only 96,000 in both digital and streaming.

The Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears feud started after a Twitter Q&A on Sunday night with Azalea.

"Even if PG (Pretty Girls) flopped a little bit still getting a lot of views on YT (YouTube) and it's the summer anthem of 2015, so whatever we love you," commented one fan.

Apparently, Azalea did not like the "flopped a little" comment, hence deciding to put the blame on Spears.

"It's difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and TV performances etc. Unfortunately, im just featured, " responded the Aussie rapper.

Spears's loyal fans were quick to comment as well, saying that doing little in promoting tracks has been her method for decades, according to news.com.au.

Aside from the Q&A, the Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears feud also began when the Aussie snapped at a loyal Spears fan in retaliation and said, "My comment is factual, it applies to any song. I dont have to suck the womans asshole 24/7 to be her friend, do i? bye girls."

In response, Spears took to Twitter to poke fun at Azalea's US tour, which she allegedly canceled due to "creative change of heart."

Spears became the highest-earning female musician in 2012, earning $58 million on that year alone. The following year, she signed up for a two-year residency at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino's The AXIS, where she reportedly earned $15 million a year. Her final show will be on December 31, 2015.

As for Azalea, the feud would do no further good for her image as her tour in late May was not only canceled because of "creative change of heart." Reports said the tour was canceled because of poor ticket sales from lack of support and backlash against Azalea.

Sources claimed that some dates on the 2015 "Great Escape" arena tour "were only 20 percent sold," Billboard cited.

The feud would just add fuel to the fire since backlash against the rapper has been brewing for quite some time now.

Because of her history of racist tweets, the African-American community has denounced her, and Black MCs even loudly campaigned against her. She has also been compared to "White Chicks" characters in trolls by Snoop Dogg, and Q-Tip offered her a cultural lesson to boot.

Another reason that the Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears feud would not do good for the rapper is that her Pittsburgh Pride appearance earlier this month had been canceled after several LGBT organizations pulled out of the parade to protest against her tweets about "homos" and "dyke bitches."
