One groom in China exhibited two of probably the most desirable traits in a life-long partner: practicality and concern for the environment. Instead of giving his bride a ride on a luxury limousine, the groom from Harbin, Heliongjiang decided to use 36 brand new and environmentally friendly trucks for the wedding procession, Shanghaiist reported. All trucks were decorated with red roses and ribbons.

The groom decided to "double the happiness" since the wedding day coincided with the opening day of his earthwork transportation business. He used the company trucks as a practical and clever display of his love for his future wife and reportedly, for the environment. The groom himself drove the first truck with his bride riding shotgun. Both were beaming at the camera as the husband-to-be assisted his better half alight the truck.
However, the Harbin groom is not the first to cause a stir with his wedding convoy idea. In February, a groom surnamed Xie from the Zhejiang province took his wife home from the ceremony aboard a crane truck. His idea of romance appears rather misplaced, but he took pride in ordering four of these humongous construction machines at 900,000 yuan each, according to Shanghaiist. As the pictures suggest, his wife looked pleased with his effort as she happily jumped into his arms as he stood in front of the yellow crane trucks.
Talking about big displays of affection, a couple in Dongguan, Guangdong province raised the bar quite high when they used a fleet of Porsche, Lamborghini, and Hummer luxury cars to usher in their wedding ceremony in 2014. The outrageously flashy couple also employed an army of assistants who distributed red envelopes to passersby. Each hongbao contained cash that ranges from one to 100 yuan, with a total amounting to more than 1.5 million yuan.
In an article by Shanghaiist, the groom was identified as Chen Jun Liang, the young owner of an Internet company in the city. According to the millionaire in his 20s, his one-year-old business just received a huge financial fund, and his wedding came thereafter. The extravagant wedding ceremony was just his way of celebrating.
