Love is dead. This is what fans are screaming through Twitter after getting wind of the news that Hollywood's most low-key couple "Bennifer" is getting a divorce.

Just yesterday, which coincided with their anniversary, Twitter was filled with hopelessness and dread as it was frenzied by fans of both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner after they caught wind of the apparent divorce of the Hollywood power couple. New York Daily News quoted tons of tweets. While some of them carried the obvious sorrow of the split, there were others who tried to insert some humor into the situation, even including the most recent legalization of gay marriage in the USA.

The divorce will not be done immediately since TMZ reported that the couple are still sorting things out, including custody issues, including that of their three children. The couple did release a statement, saying that the breakup is completely amicable and that they will go forward with the commitment of becoming good parents.

The couple first met during filming of the superhero movie "Daredevil," which can be credited as the first of many Ben Affleck movie failures. However, directing was an entirely different story, with Seattle PI mentioning that from his directorial debut in "Gone Baby Gone" to "The Town" and the 2012 Academy Award Winner for Best Picture "Argo," he has been critically acclaimed and will be back on the big screen with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Jennifer Garner, on the other hand, had his breakthrough with the TV series "Alias" and then eventually moved on to movies, most recently with "Dallas Buyers Club."

No marriage is perfect, and despite some couples managing to work it out, some couples cannot. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck can be categorized with the latter, and there is nothing wrong with that. There is still hope though, since there are still going to talk things through. So despite news about their divorce breaking out, there is always the possibility of them getting back together.
